FAQ

Is it Expensive?

Top level education is not cheap anywhere. That is guaranteed! However, the quality may not always be so certain. The cost of studying abroad differs from country to country; a lot depends on where you study.

“Online Application” – fast, but not always a good idea!?

You can, of course, apply online direct to the institution yourself via their website.
Many universities, schools and colleges encourage this and it is obviously much easier and quicker than mailing your application. However, here are some things to consider before you do this:

  • Mistakes & Errors – Errors are sometimes difficult to check on screen. Once your application is sent online, it cannot be changed.

  • Thousands of other applications are sent online by students all over the world. Why not have a uniqueness in your application by applying in your handwriting. It shows  a sense of seriousness.

Even if there is interest in your application, you will still have to mail authenticated
documents such as transcripts, certificates and references before you receive a final offer – you
cannot send a signed reference online!

  • You may be wasting your time! Some universities require very high academic qualifications. If you apply to one of these when your qualifications are not good  enough you will probably be unsuccessful

Before you apply online, to be more certain of a successful application LES can help you in the following ways:

  • We can advise you about which universities will probably accept you before you apply, so
you will not waste your time
We can help you proof read personal statements, etc.
We can check the application before it is sent
We will mail your documents free of charge
If you want to apply online, we can help you anyway

What does the educational system offer?

  • Undergraduate degrees offer the opportunity to concentrate on specific skill areas and focus on particular fields of interest. This means you get to focus on what really appeals to you from day one.
  • Depending on your interests and ambitions, you can specialise immediately in either vocational degrees such as business studies, computer science or engineering; or take the more academic route in subjects such as history, sociology or literature. In general, some vocational degrees make it unnecessary to undertake further professional exams in the industry. We can advise which route - academic or vocational - is best for you in relation to your career plans.
  • Some students prefer not to specialise immediately, wanting to keep their options and choices more open. Most universities offer joint courses such as business studies and computer science, with a chance to specialise in the 2nd or 3rd year. If this is more appealing to you, please contact us and we will be able to advise you on your options.
  • Perhaps most importantly, regardless of the course you may choose, the overseas universities we work with can offer quality education that is among the best in the world. Your qualification will be a solid foundation for establishing your future, boosting your career and prospects for a better salary throughout the world.
